Blasts shake Invercargill pump station's neighbours

From Morning Report, 7:23 am on 1 November 2017

Neighbours of a water pump station in Invercargill where there were explosions yesterday say the drama shook their nerves. All residents of Invercargill and Bluff are being asked to keep conserving water until the Waikiwi pump station in Myers Reserve is repaired from the explosion in a switchboard. An electrical contractor was treated in hospital for burns to his hands, but he has been discharged. A woman whose house backs on to the reserve says a bit after midday there was two loud bangs. RNZ Otago reporter Ian Telfer is at the Waikiwi pump station and joins us with the latest details.
