Project to digitise NZ TV history lags behind

A major project to preserve New Zealand's television history online is woefully behind what the public was promised three years ago. It's put just a handful of titles on the internet compared to its 20,000 target. In addition, the Nga Taonga Sound and Vision trust has digitised only a tenth of the target or 2,000 titles. It has no new targets, yet faces a mountain of 200,000 old TV tapes that are at risk of being lost forever.
