Labour govt's first week in Parliament - analysis

It's been a shaky start for some of the new Labour Party ministers this week, with the Leader of the House Chris Hipkins admitting the first day of the 52nd Parliament, including the eventual election of Trevor Mallard as Speaker, was "a farce". The formal ceremonies marking the start of the new term are over and the business of governing has begun. Extending paid parental leave was the first piece of law voted on. To discuss the upheavals of the first week we're joined by former Labour Cabinet minister Clayton Cosgrove and former National minister and Deputy Speaker Chester Borrows.
