Australian parliament debates same-sex marriage legislation

"It's a yes for fairness. A yes for commitment. And a yes for love," Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has said, after the result of Australia's same-sex marriage vote was revealed on Wednesday. Australians have voted overwhelmingly to legalise same-sex marriage. Within hours of the result being announced, legislation was introduced into the federal parliament.
