Police defend call on Australia deportees committing crimes

The police are defending their forecast that deportees from Australia to New Zealand would commit high rates of crime once they got here. They told the Government last year the reoffending rate would probably hit 55 percent of deportees by early 2018. But new figures show just 13 percent of deportees have so far been convicted of jailable offences.
