Auckland Council is set to pick its preferred site for the 2021 America's Cup base on the city's waterfront. Officials who've been looking at options ranging in cost - from $120 million to $59 million - favour the cheaper option, which would spread the bases of the competing teams across the Wynyard, Horsley St and Hobson wharves.
