Staff leave MBIE regulatory branch in droves

There are major staff shortages at the country's main building regulator with 40 percent of its positions unfilled. This comes amid a construction boom and at the same time as complaints against builders are increasing. RNZ's Phil Pennington has been given official figures showing an exodus of staff from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment's building system performance branch.
