NZ resident fears for house in path of California blaze

From Morning Report, 8:28 am on 12 December 2017

Fires are now threatening houses in California's Santa Barbara County and thousands of people have been told to leave. The flames have burned through $230,000 acres in the past week and have destroyed more than 800 buildings. It's one of the worst fires in the state's history. Several firefighters have been injured and a 70-year-old lady has died. Lee Heller, who lives in Golden Bay, used to live in Santa Barbara and is monitoring her home there, which is in the path of the fire. She joins us.
