Stretched school budgets force teacher-aide cuts

Many primary school principals have told their union they'll have to cut spending on teacher aides when the new school year starts because of budget shortfalls. Others say they're not sure they'll start the year with enough teachers. The Education Institute survey interviewed from more than 600 school principals. Forty-four percent said they were reducing teacher aide hours to keep costs down. NZEI president Lynda Stuart joins us.
