Hutt Valley Hospital face 'risk of injury' in quake

From Morning Report, 8:39 am on 14 December 2017

The Hutt Valley's main hospital has 10-kilogram ceiling tiles that pose what the district health board says is the "risk of serious injury" in a major earthquake. The tiles are in corridors and foyers in a block housing the maternity, medical, coronary care and children's wards, but not in any patients' bedrooms. A ceiling consultant says many other hospitals nationwide have similarly unsafe ceilings. Phil Pennington reports.
