Don Brash attends Māori play 'Waiora', unmoved on RNZ kōrero
The former politician Don Brash accepted an invitation to travel to Whangarei last night to watch a play about a 1960s Maori family struggling to retain their language and values after moving to a pakeha community. But while he enjoyed Hone Kouka's play Waiora, calling it excellent, the road to Whangarei was no road to Damascus - he's still opposed to the use of te reo phrases on RNZ National. That's disappointed the play's director Bill Walker, who'd invited Dr Brash to the performance.
