From Morning Report, 7:45 am on 23 January 2018

While the Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern will be spending five days at Waitangi commemorations this year, Opposition leader Bill English will once again stay away altogether. However, Mr English will be going to Ratana celebrations. Last year as Prime Minister he was lauded for his use of te reo at the event. Last week he said it wasn't the government's job to keep the language alive. Mr English discusses the events with Susie Ferguson.
