Josephine Bartley Auckland's first Pasifika woman councillor

Josephine Bartley made history this week, becoming the first Pasifika woman to be elected to Auckland Council since it became the super city. Ms Bartley was elected in a by-election for the Maungakiekie-Tamaki ward after Councillor Denise Lee stepped down, when she was elected as National MP for Maungakiekie in September.
