Dairy robberies: Owners 'had enough', demand govt help

From Morning Report, 6:46 am on 19 March 2018

Hamilton diary and convenience store owners say they have had enough of aggravated robberies that are making them fearful for their lives. On Wednesday one man was attacked with a machete and on Saturday another shop owner was struck on the head with a hammer. Over 70 shop owners and members of their families met yesterday to decide what to do next. Spokesperson, Manish Thakkar told RNZ reporter Andrew McRae that shop owners are honest, law abiding citizens, who pay their taxes and now need government help.
