Gold-winning paralympian Adam Hall may hang up skis

From Morning Report, 8:50 am on 19 March 2018

New Zealand's gold-medal-winning paralympian Adam Hall says he can't commit to another Paralympics yet, because of the tremendous physical and emotional strain training brings. Hall, who's 30, has spina bifida, which was diagnosed at birth. Competing at his fourth Paralympics, he took out two medals - a bronze in the men's Downhill Standing, and a gold medal in the Standing Slalom, as well as being the flag bearer in the closing ceremony. Hall also won the prestigious Whang Yuon Dai award - which is awarded to one man and one woman Paralympian, who best examplify the Games' spirit and values. But Adam Hall told our reporter Emile Donovan competing at the highest level brings with it incredible mental and physical stress - and he isn't sure if he'll still be competing in four years' time.
