From Morning Report, 8:56 am on 19 April 2018

It's a long way from Waipukurau to St Petersburg, but eight-year-old soccer player, Sophie Heywood, will be making the trip with her Mum in June after winning a global competition to take part in the FIFA World Cup. She and nine-year-old Isabel Bristow from Petone are the two New Zealand winners among 16 children worldwide who will escort the players onto the pitch. RNZ Hawke's Bay reporter Anusha Bradley went to meet one very excited soon-to-be traveller.
