Nurses to vote on strike action - Cee Payne

From Morning Report, 7:43 am on 23 April 2018

Nurses will begin voting from today about whether they back strike action to resolve the pay impasse with their district health board employers. An independent panel met for the first time last week in a bid to find a way through the dispute beween hospital nurses and DHBs. In the meantime the union is going ahead with a ballot about possible strike action, a plan that was endorsed by its national delegates last week. It means about 27,000 nurses will get ballot papers from today and start voting immediately. Nurses Organisation industrial services manager Cee Payne discusses what will happen with Susie Ferguson.
