RNZ presenter Philip Liner dies, aged 93

Long-time radio broadcaster Philip Liner has died at the age of 93. Philip Liner's cheery voice was heard regularly on National Radio for decades, and he presented Roundabout on National Radio for more than 20 years before retiring in 1990. Roundabout was a drive time programme where Mr Liner would interview people from all walks of life. His subjects included artists, business people, farmers, or as in this case a train guard on the Silver Fern. Philip Liner emigrated to New Zealand from the UK and was active in community work in Wellington. He is survived by his wife Jean to whom he was married to for 71 years and one son and three grandchildren.
