Deal may have secured release of Pete Bethune

The anti-whaling Sea Shepherd Conservation Society says a secret deal cleared the path to freedom for the New Zealand activist, Pete Bethune. A Tokyo court convicted Bethune of five charges arising from a confrontation with Japanese whalers in the Southern Ocean in February.
