Captain Cook's coat under the hammer - or is it?

A waistcoat that may have originally belonged to Captain James Cook will be auctioned in Auckland next week. The embroidered white silk piece is reliably dated to the 18th century, and almost certainly belonged to a Cook family, but whether it belonged to the Pacific explorer himself is a matter of contention.
