Church bells to chime for Godwits arrival

The bar tailed Godwits will get their traditional welcome back to Christchurch today despite the cathedral's bells being out of action after the quake. This year the bells of St Paul's Anglican Church in Papanui will ring out at 12.30 for the birds, which have flown 10 days non-stop from Alaska.
