Ex-PM explains why SOE Act had Treaty protection clause

Law changes that could remove the protection of Treaty rights for iwi in partially privatised state assets could be the catalyst for a split in the Government. The SOE Act was introduced to Parliament in 1986 by the former Attorney-General and Prime Minister, Sir Geoffrey Palmer, who joins us.
