An iwi wants the Government to drop Hauturu-Little Barrier island from a hapu's Treaty settlement package; But the hapu, Ngati Manuhiri, says it won't change its position on Little Barrier; Some Kohanga Reo teachers say they're being overloaded with regulations, and a move to self management is needed to save the pre-schools from a slow death; And staying with the Waitangi Tribunal, today it will hear why the Maori Council's claim on water should be heard under urgency; A Trust which represents the interests of nine hapu in Wairarapa and Southern Hawke's Bay, will be working hard to start negotiations as soon as possible with the Crown over 27 Treaty claims.
