A Ruatoki kaumatua says legal action against the Crown over the 2007 police raid is unlikely to fix the damage inflicted on Tuhoe; The Government has given an assurance that Auckland Council's Independent Maori Statutory Board won't be axed as part of a revamp of local authorities; A workshop is being held in Rotorua today for Maori businesses to help link them with science and innovation experts from Crown Research Institutes, universities and government agencies; The Waitangi Tribunal has quizzed the Ministry of Education on why it isn't willing to take the risk and allow Kohanga movement to run the way it wants because indications shows its working well.
