Auckland council approves Len Brown's budget

Auckand's mayor has fought off renegade councillors to get his 10-year budget through, which includes a rate rise of nearly 4%. Councillors debated the super city's Long-Term Plan yesterday and adopted all of Len Brown's proposals after some heated debate.
