Education professor says small classes improve teaching

Prime minister John Key, speaking from London, says the government has to do a better job of explaining government policy to New Zealand parents while his education minister Hekia Parata has had the backing of some educational experts who downplay the significance of small classes in optimising students' educational achievement. This is not the view of Massey University's Professor of Education, John O'Neill, who explains why.
