The government has started contacting iwi directly affected by its plan to sell shares in Mighty River Power, which has hydro-dams along the Waikato River; An 80-kilometre cycle trail through the Pureora Forest Park could result in hundreds of new jobs for the area; A Maori college says negative parts of its Education Review Office report are due to inconsistent management in recent years, and it's confident the school will improve now it has a permanent principal; A Te Arawa woman who was inspired to join the Maori health service after her own son became unwell, has won the Public Health Association's prestigious Tu Rangatira mo to Ora award.
