An urban Maori authority says it will appeal, if it loses a legal case over the loss of a valuable welfare contract; A United States based brand consultant says Maori could take part in business ventures in a better way than native Americans have; The Northland tribe, Ngati Whatua o Kaipara, says it aims to advance its people in areas such as education once its Treaty of Waitangi Settlement bill is legislated; Ngati Tuwharetoa has appointed a new chairperson for its Maori Trust Board after the tribe's paramount chief, Sir Tumu te Heuheu, resigned from the position last month.
