Sir Ranulph Fiennes renews attempt to cross Antarctica

The veteran British explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes is mounting an expedition to cross Antarctica next autumn and winter, with the aim of reaching McMurdo Sound near Scott Base by the spring of 2013.
