25% of NZ children in poverty - new report

From Morning Report, 8:10 am on 9 December 2013

The country's first annual child poverty monitor has been published this morning and it paints a stark picture for 25 percent of the country's children. The report has also found 180-thousand of those children are missing out on basic necessities like a good bed, fresh fruit and vegetables and doctors visits. It's the most comprehensive collection of data on child poverty yet.
