New match fixing allegation hits UK football

English football has been hit by its second match fixing scandal in a week, following claims by a player that he could 'spot fix' events in a second division match. As a result of the allegations, the National Crime Agency, the Football Association and the Gambling Commission are all investigating, while three people are being held in custody.
