The local lineup at WOMAD 2010 included a couple of Maori whanau reggae bands - 1814 and House of Shem; Pacific Curls - who pulled out a ripper of a set on the Friday night, covering pacific ukulele styles, to samba, to Irish jigs and reels; and four solo female vocalists - Ladi 6, LA Mitchell, Iva Lamkum, and Anna Coddington, the last of whom Kirsten Johnstone speaks with, just as she finishes scoffing a tasty kebab.
