Joel Haines first picked up a guitar at the age of five to show his proud father (bass player Kevin Haines) his first composition. In his early teens he was performing six nights a week with the Haines family band including his brother, famed saxophonist Nathan Haines. In his late-teens he was an original member of Stellar* and These Wilding Ways and a regular in the studio playing session on albums and making commercials. Joel has most recently written the score for 60 episodes of Mercy Peak and the screen version of Foreskins Lament. He's appeared on albums by Annie Crummer, Fiona McDonald, Rikky Morris, Whirimako Black and an upcoming Human Instinct album. Joel is completing his second solo album.
