Bruce Kirkland describes breaking multi platinum sellers Depeche Mode in America and we follow his rise to General Manager of Capitol Records in LA. It's some considerable journey for an ex-Onehunga High School student who completed his Law degree, then migrated to independent label Stiff Records in London before relocating to the Big Apple. In the final part of this New Zealand music profile Trevor Reekie talks to ex-pat music mogul Bruce Kirkland about walking the tightrope through the corporate corridors of the American music industry.
