Lachlan Rutherford's musical career started at Otago University as the bass player for Stash, the bad boy's of mid 70s student rock. His musical journey has taken him from being a semi professional musician with a law degree, to his current position as President of Warner Music, Asia Pacific. For Musical Chairs Trevor Reekie talks to Lachlan Rutherford about his career path spanning 18 years at EMI, including 13 directing its Asian operations and adapting to different musical cultures and business models.
