- To round out NZ Music Month 2009 the Christchurch Music Industry Trust held ChartFest, a one day festival held on Friday 29 May showcasing some of the brightest musical talent emerging from the garden city, as well as providing musicians with performance clinics, career workshops, and industry forums. Music 101 presenter Kirsten Johnstone was there to soak up the atmosphere and hear performances by the likes of The Eastern, Ragamuffin Children, Solaa, Maitraya and the Shocking Pinks. 6 June 2009. Last weekend the Christchurch music industry trust CHART held Chartfest. It’s a one day festival showcasing some of the brightest musical talents emerging from the garden city, as well as providing musicians with performance clinics, career workshops, and industry forums during New Zealand Music Month.
Kirsten Johnstone was there to soak up the atmosphere and hear performances by the likes of The Eastern, Ragamuffin Children, Solaa, Maitraya and Shocking Pinks.
