UK grindcore band Napalm Death smashed punk rock and heavy metal together on their 1987 debut album Scum, redefining the speed, heaviness, and political bite of both genres of music.
Napalm Death is touring New Zealand in late April in support of their latest LP, Apex Predator - Easy Meat. Ahead of their visit, Music 101 metal correspondent Craig Hayes talks with front man Mark 'Barney' Greenway about the band's three decades of extreme music.
