Under the Influence: The Cramps

From RNZ Music, 12:00 pm on 17 September 2016

Californian rock'n'roll band The Cramps played two shows in New Zealand in August 1986 at the Galaxy, the venue now known as The Powerstation. The second show, recorded straight to cassette, was released a year later by the Cramps as an official live bootleg named Rockinnreelininaucklandnewzealandxxx.

To celebrate the anniversary of The Cramps’ first-ever New Zealand dates, John Baker speaks with some of the characters who were there to bear witness.
