Live Session: Reb Fountain

From RNZ Music, 3:40 pm on 1 July 2017

Reb Fountain is one of New Zealand's most talented singers, songwriters and musicians. Her musicianship and musical intuition, and her powerful and versatile voice are just some of the reasons why many musicians want to collaborate with her.

Reb hasn't released solo material since 2014, but she's key member of The Eastern and The Ravens. When Finn Andrews of The Veils recently did a solo tour it was Reb who helped him flesh out Veils songs new and old.

She's collaborated with The Warratahs, Don McGlashan, and Steve Abel. Trevor Reekie says she was the highlight of the recent Last Waltz tour, with her Joni Mitchell cover, which is no mean feat.

Reb has recently ended her three-year hiatus with a new EP called Hopeful and Hopeless, which is out now.

She dropped into the RNZ studios to play us beautiful renditions of her new songs 'Gold' and 'Hopeful and Hopeless'.
