Music 101's Alex Behan visits Kingsdon Chapple-Wilson, aka Kings, at his marae – Northcote's Awataha, where he records and produces all his music.
The marae was built by his grandfather, and Kings has been making music there for seven years – ever since his dad, who runs the marae, offered him a 'little room'.
Kings is nominated for three NZ Music Awards: Best Solo Artist, Best Hip Hop Artist and People's Choice.
