Auckland five piece Farmer Pimp released their debut EP, Good thing, in March 2006, a couple of years after the single of the same name appeared on a Loop Compilation. With various band members coming and going since, the nucleus of the group - Mark Michel and singer Clairabella - have been hard at work. They're one of a few young bands going for the DIY approach to releasing records, bypassing a record label and going straight to the distributor, dealing with publicity themselves. Kirsten Johnstone spoke to the band for The Music Mix.
