The Family Cactus are a Wellington septet who have only been together a year and a half, but impressed audiences with their sharp and sexy performances and anthemic songs. The members have come from many bands - including The Accelerants, The Brunettes, The Nudie Suits, Grand Prix, The Cosbys, and The Bonnie Scarlets. The Family Cactus recorded the debut - Come Howling- with Dr Lee Prebble, and its about to be showcased around the country. Music 101 presenter Kirsten Johnstone caught up with Family Cactus parental figures Adam Ladley and Nina Siegler at their local bar the Mighty Mighty. They perform the songs: In Transit, Coal Town, a new one, and Kingmaker.
