Homefire Burning

Homefire Burning are a roasting-hot rocking roots/reggae crew from the Kapiti Coast. Music reporter Andy Cummins spoke with vocalist Matiu Te Huki in the welcome glow of a roaring fireplace and discovered the warmth of a band whose message of love and unity is tempered by a simmering desire to nurture the increasing awareness of important global issues. And they aren't sitting on their hands waiting for armageddon, they've just produced two versions of their new album, one entirely in Te Reo Maori.
