A young Charles Bradley was an audience member at one of those infamous shows by James Brown Live at The Apollo in the early 60s. The veteran soul singer has been performing ever since, but a series of frustrating and often tragic events have kept him out of the studio, until now. At 62 years old Charles Bradley has just released his debut 'No Time For Dreaming'. A few years ago, just after the death of his brother, Charles met Thomas Brenneck, bandleader, songwriter and producer for Brooklyn New York label Daptone Records. Marty Duda speaks to Charles Bradley.
