New Year's Eve for Wednesday 31 December 2008

Warwick Burke introduced another interesting line-up of guests to see out the old year of 2008. It was a chance to farewell the popular United States Ambassadorial couple, Bill and Gail Mccormick, President Bush's representatives in Wellington. Former TVNZ Sports boss, John Knowles, spoke from Tokyo where he's been the head of Sky Sport japan, J-Sport, for the last eight years. One of rugby's genuine characters, the captain of Manu Samoa at two World Cups in the 1990s, Peter Fatialofa, took a break from shifting pianos, to join the show. And Kiwi singing stars, from Rodney Macann in the world of Opera, to our King and Queen of Country, Brendan Dougan and Patsy Riggir, were there to share their talents in the final hour to welcome in 2009.
