Indialucia is a musical project, formed by Polish guitarist Miguel Czachowski who grew up surrounded by flamenco music and saw him start playing the guitar at age 12. He was completely self taught learning from imported records and tapes before studying and teaching in India where he conceptualized and formed his multi-cultural band Indialucia who are exploring the musical connections of Spanish Flamenco music and Indian Raga. To date Indialucia have recorded 2 self-released albums that have earned considerable praise from the likes of Anoushka Shankar and Nitin Sawney. The band has toured consistently over the years playing in 24 countries and building a reputation for their technical musicianship and exciting live shows. Trevor Reekie talks to Miguel Czachowski by phone in Poland.
