Our Own Odysseys: Eye-catching Architecture

In Basel the gables on the roof of a large mansion were patterned to alternate with chimneys and their own rows and became smaller the higher they were situated.

In Bern there was a skull painted on a wall that was a clever floral motif on close-up.

In Prague entire buildings had delightful decorative features such as lacy lines across a facade or many, soft colours used on different structures such as sills or lentels, door arches and panels etc. -continued along buildings down an entire street.

Berlin had marvellous architecture both old and new and street art such as a lego giraffe.
