Jeremy Sare, UK Cannabis reform expert and former head of Drug Legislation and Classification at the Home Office in the UK, who is seething over a recent government decision to re-classify cannabis from a class C to a class B drug, thus attracting hasher penalties and more arrests for possession. The UK's drug classification system is similar to New Zealand's, where cannabis is a Class C drug.
Jeremy Sare is in New Zealand for an international symposium run by the Drug Foundation.

Jenny Morel has been a director of 13 early stage companies for No 8 Ventures. She is currently chairman of Martin Aircraft Company, Vertical Composting and Smart Orthotics; a director of Open Cloud and Surveylab; and has observer status on the board of Proacta.
Jenny previously founded an investment bank specialising in technology companies which led to her starting No 8 Ventures - she saw the huge opportunity for investment in exciting young, under-funded technology companies. And she is the founder and organiser of an annual conference for New Zealand high growth companies, Morgo.

American businessman and blind adventurer Mike May was totally blinded at age three from an explosion of calcium carbide. At the age of 46 he regained partial sight after cornea transplants and pioneering stem cell procedure. He runs the Sendero Group which employes many blind people and assists those with disabilities by using technology.

The man who returned the Daleks to Dr Who, screenwriter Robert Shearman talks to Kathryn about why he wanted to bring back the time travelling Doctor's most persistent enemy and make the Daleks far more menacing than ever before. Robert Shearman is a writer, playwright, and director - and will be in New Zealand next month for Writers and Readers week at the New Zealand Festival of Arts.
