Liz Gordon, author of the report commissioned by the Ministry of Maori Development, Te Puni Kokiri, using data gathered by the organisation Pillars. The report says the lack of support for these children is creating a new generation of prisoners and that in many cases the kids are ill, traumatised and develop anti-social behaviour.

Gabriella Coleman trained as an anthropologist, and her first book, Coding Freedom: The Aesthetics and the Ethics of Hacking is forthcoming with Princeton University Press and she is working on a book on Anonymous and digital activism. Gabriella was speaking at the Webstock conference in Wellington last week.
