A senior public dental health officer says the government must act to improve child oral health.  The latest annual Health Survey results show the number of children who had teeth removed due to decay, an abscess, infection or gum disease in the past year has risen. Dr Rob Beaglehole is the Principal Dental Officer for the Nelson Marlborough DHB, the NZ Dental Association spokesperson on water fluoridation and a member of the Society of Hospital and Community Dentists.
